Jerome Olorunmaiye, Doctor of Computer Science (DCS)
Dr. Olorunmaiye, VP of Industry Solutions, was raised in a small town in Nigeria, where education was recognized as a stronghold, valuable asset, and a foundation for success. He developed a strong passion for education (especially in Science and Technology) and athletics and earned a Bachelor of Science (BSC) degree in physics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Afterward, he taught students in a broad range of science subjects that include physics, mathematics, statistics, and computer studies becoming Head of Department of Mathematics at The Gambia Methodist Academy, The Gambia, in 2003.
Dr. Olorunmaiye earned his MBA from University of Bridgeport with a specialization in computer application and information systems. After the MBA, he worked as a Calculation Engine Programmer Analyst where he researched and developed software initiatives and transformed business requirement analyses to design specifications and functional applications, to drive strategic and operational goals. He has also worked as a software developer – designing, implementing, and supporting a variety of applications and services for business decision-making processes. During this time he earned a second Master degree, an MS from Fairfield University in software engineering in 2014.
Dr. Olorunmaiye has also worked as a software engineer serving as a technology lead in research, design, and implementation of the IoT and cloud-based solutions, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capability initiatives as well as cybersecurity implementation in the cloud platforms to safeguard organizational assets.
Dr. Olorunmaiye earned his doctoral degree in Computer Science, with specialization in Big Data Analytics, from Colorado Technical University, CO., in 2018. He also holds several technology certifications that include traditional technology certifications (such as CCNA, MCP, and MCSE) and the cloud-based certifications (such as Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions and Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions).
